2. Information We Do NOT Collect
- No PDF or Document Data: Files selected by you are read into your device's RAM and never transmitted to our servers.
- No Document Content or OCR Data: Text, images, financial figures, medical records, and metadata within your files remain strictly local.
- No Account Information: PDFs.lol requires no registration, username, password, or credit card.
3. Telemetry & Analytics We Collect
To ensure high availability, monitor tool performance, and understand general web traffic, we utilize standard industry web analytics:
- Google Analytics & PostHog: We collect aggregate, anonymized technical telemetry such as browser type, operating system, approximate geographic region (country/city), referring URL, and page interaction events. These analytics never contain document contents or file names.

We do not promote, condone, distribute, or support pirated materials, unauthorized textbook redistribution, or academic plagiarism in any form. Because all file processing takes place 100% locally within your device’s browser memory without external transmission or cloud retention, PDFs.lol has zero access to, custody of, or visibility into your files. Users are solely and strictly responsible for verifying that they hold all required intellectual property rights, licenses, and authorizations for any documents processed.
