2. Client-Side Execution & Zero File Storage
PDFs.lol provides client-side document processing utilities (including merge, split, rotate, watermark, compress, metadata inspection, and conversion tools). All document operations occur 100% locally within your web browser’s memory using WebAssembly and JavaScript. We do not transmit, upload, host, view, or retain your document files or their contents on any external cloud server.
3. User Responsibilities & Acceptable Use
You retain full ownership, title, and intellectual property rights in and to all documents you process through the Service. You warrant and represent that:
- You hold all necessary rights, licenses, title, and permissions to access, modify, and export any documents you load into the tool.
- Your use of the Service complies with all applicable local, national, and international laws, regulations, and copyright statutes.
- You will not use the Service to process unlawful, fraudulent, defamatory, or malicious materials.
4. Strict Anti-Piracy & Anti-Plagiarism Policy
PDFs.lol maintains a zero-tolerance policy regarding copyright infringement, illegal copying, and academic dishonesty:
- No Pirated Content: We strictly do not host, promote, or encourage the circulation, reproduction, or distribution of pirated books, textbooks, research papers, exam keys, copyrighted manuals, or commercial media.
- No Plagiarism or Academic Dishonesty: The Service is not intended to assist in plagiarism, unauthorized attribute stripping, or academic misconduct.
- User Responsibility: Because all operations occur client-side in the user's browser, PDFs.lol has no visibility into or custody of processed files. The user bears sole and exclusive legal liability for any document processed or exported.
5. Disclaimer of Warranties (“AS IS”)
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED STRICTLY ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, STATUTORY, OR OTHERWISE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE ERROR-FREE, UNINTERRUPTED, OR THAT THE GENERATED PDF OUTPUTS WILL MEET YOUR SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS.
6. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED UNDER APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL PDFS.LOL, ITS OPERATORS, CONTRIBUTORS, AFFILIATES, OR LICENSORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF REVENUE, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, DOCUMENT CORRUPTION, OR SYSTEM FAILURE ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100.00 USD).
